Mark Daskovsky, age 49, died suddenly of a heart attack on Jan. 13, 2004 at his home in Annapolis, MD. Mark was an adventurer and an expert sailor who sailed across the Atlantic and through the Panama Canal, a talented musician, photographer and writer, someone who could fix almost anything and would if you asked him, a math prodigy who earned his ham radio license at age 11, a terrific cook, a great storyteller. He was a tremendously independent person, known as the “by myself” kid, but he was also a loyal and thoughtful friend, a loving son and brother, and a devoted uncle. He is mourned by his mother, Judith Daskovsky-Mittler; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Sheila (Mc Carthy); his nephews and nieces, John, Maddie and Annie; his cherished partner, Diane Archangeli; and by many others who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 16 at 11 a.m. at The Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd. (1 block No. of Old Orchard).
