Richard John Wagner, 68, of Grafton, WI, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Cedar Springs Home in Cedarburg, WI. He was born May 22, 1935, in Chicago, to Charles Gregory and Leona, nee MacMahon Wagner. He spent his early life in Chicago and attended Loyola University at Lewis Towers. On June 27, 1959, he married Janice Ann Gegan at St. Margaret Mary’s in Chicago. Following marriage, they lived in Milwaukee, then Mequon for 25 years. Richard was a sales representative and vice-president for Cream City Scale in Menomonee Falls, WI. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He had been a resident of Grafton for the past four years. Survivors include his wife, Janice Wagner of Grafton; daughter, Ellen (Peter) Carpenter of Denver, CO, sons, Robert (Jennifer) Wagner of Milwaukee, Patrick (Rebecca) Wagner of Cooper City, FL; grandchildren, Mary Grace and Lillian Wagner; sisters-in-law, Helen Dill of Kansasville, Marcie Wagner of Chicago; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chuck Wagner; and brother-in-law, Howard Dill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dover. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dover. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
