1. 88-game streak by UCLA

The 1974 Bruins came to Notre Dame as the top-ranked team, with their last loss being in 1971 to the Irish. ND ended the run at 88, scoring the final 12 points in a 71-70 victory. The second-longest win streak was 60 by San Francisco from 1955-57. The Dons’ streak was ended by Illinois.

2. 129-game home streak

Starting in 1943, Kentucky won 129 consecutive games at home. It ended when Georgia Tech beat the Wildcats 59-58 in 1955.

3. Current home winning streak

Pittsburgh has won 37 straight games with top-ranked Duke right behind the Panthers with 36 straight victories at home. The next test for the Panthers is Boston College on Jan. 28; the Blue Devils’ next home game is Jan. 29 against Florida State.

4. Home streaks ended this year

Four schools had streaks of more than 20 snapped this season. Western Kentucky’s 39-game home streak was snapped by Mississippi State on Nov. 20; Charlotte ended Southern Illinois’ 31-game run Jan. 2; on Tuesday, Wake Forest’s 24-gamer was snapped by Georgia Tech, and on Jan. 10, Purdue ended Illinois’ run at 23.

5. Consecutive wins vs. team

Syracuse does not play Cornell this year, but the Orangemen have beaten the Big Red 37 straight times since 1963.
