Sheppard Gitlis, formerly of Chicago and Skokie, IL, on Jan. 24, at Boscobel Area Health Care in Boscobel, WI. He is survived by his spouse, Florence, nee Pinchouck; children, Robert, Father Simeon (Alan) and Kim, all now from Boscobel; sister, Betty Goldberg, and brother, Gerald, now in Arizona; and his three grandchildren, Dyami Moon, Danica Moon-Gitlis and Ry Moon-Gitlis. Shep was active in the printing business in Chicago for over 50 years, and was known by all to be the true meaning of a gentle man. He loved his garden, was very well read, golfed and played classical piano. He was a member of Niles Township Jewish Congregation since its inception until moving to Wisconsin in 2001. Services Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, 9:30 a.m. at The Piser Chapel, 9200 Skokie Blvd., Skokie, with Rabbi Neil Brief, officiating. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
