Scientists at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. are studying a self-portrait taken by the rover Spirit for clues about what brought on the computer memory problems. The Spirit team predicted that if all goes well, Spirit could return to its scientific duties as early as next week.
