Eleanor Brazier, nee Elias, 78, retired Chicago Public School principal, passed away Jan. 31, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital, beloved wife of the late Jack Brazier; cherished mother of Mark (Susan) of Tucson, AZ, Bruce (Michelle) of Waukesha, WI and David (Joyce Armes) of New Lenox, IL; loving “Gramma B.” of Brian, Steven, Chrissie, Shaina and Rebecca; preceded in death by her siblings, Gil, Max, Lillian and Alice. Eleanor will be remembered as an outstanding wife, mother and grandmother and as an educational leader who worked to overcome racial concerns during the Civil Rights movement and to provide quality learning experiences for inner city students using leadership skills, drive, knowledge, compassion, strength and experience. She will be missed. Life tribute Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 in the Community Room at 2626 N. Lakeview, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, donations to Little Brothers/Friends of the Elderly, 355 N.
