Janet Jackson’s breast blunder continues. With her damage-control machine in full throttle, the singer issued yet another apology–this one videotaped.

“MTV, CBS and the NFL had no knowledge of this whatsoever, and unfortunately, the whole thing went wrong at the end,” she said Wednesday, giving the camera her best hangdog look. “I am really sorry if I offended anyone. That was truly not my intention.”

Meanwhile, Jackson’s presenter status at Sunday’s Grammy Awards is still up in the air. She was supposed to introduce a tribute to Luther Vandross but is not on the Recording Academy’s official list of confirmed presenters at the show, Billboard reports.

“Entertainment Tonight” and “Access Hollywood” both reported that CBS is kicking Janet off the show. Her name was conspicuously absent from a press release issued earlier in the day by Grammy organizers listing the show’s lineup.

Freeze frame

Janet’s shining moment has become the most-searched image in Internet history, according to Lycos and Yahoo! Net surfers sought the flash replay in greater numbers over a 24-hour period than searches for “September 11” or the Madonna-Britney kiss. On Monday, Janet got 60 times as many searches as the Paris Hilton sex tape. By Wednesday, Janet broke records on Yahoo!, accounting for nearly 20 percent of all terms searched on the site.
