Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Most of us have children and mothers and fathers or at least relatives who, for one reason or another, don’t drive.

And then there are those of us who are disabled and unable to drive.

All of these groups depend on walking to get from place to place, unless they are fortunate enough to have a driver at beck and call.

The next time it snows, take time and energy to clear your sidewalks so those of us walking are not forced into the streets, which, by the way, are kept much cleaner than most sidewalks.

Ask your kids or your parents how much easier it is to walk around on a clean sidewalk or, better yet, hang up your keys for a week and see how easy it is getting around on a bed of melted and then frozen snow.
