Frances J. Wegrzyn, nee Szceczniak, 85, of Eau Claire, WI, formerly of Chicago, died Thursday, Feb. 5 in Eau Claire. Worked at Motorola until retiring in 1984. Survived by children, Diane Boglitsch and Paul Wegrzyn; granddaughter, Sharon Besterfeldt (Brian) Bessinger of Eau Claire; grandson, Richard Arens of Elk Grove Village, IL and Richard’s father, John (Terri) Arens of Arlington Heights, IL; nephews, John (Anne) Howaniec of Des Plaines, IL and Robert Filas; niece, Rosemarie (George) Robbins of Niles, IL; and her beloved “poochie”, Snuffy. Preceded in death by husband, Casey, in 1987; daughter, Patricia Arens; son-in-law, James Boglitsch; four sisters, Ann, Marge, Marion and Helen; and brother, Stanley. Funeral Services 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9 at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL. Burial at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
