Sergei Fedorov became the first Russian-born player to reach 1,000 NHL points with a second-period assist, then set up the game-winner in the third in Anaheim’s 2-1 win over host Vancouver on Saturday night.
Fedorov got a draw cleanly back to Keith Carney, who beat Johan Hedberg with a one-time slap shot from the point.
Artem Chubarov tied it 6:54 into the third, but Fedorov helped put Anaheim ahead to stay six minutes later. He drove wide in the Vancouver zone and threw the puck at the net, where Petr Schastlivy scored on a rebound.
