Despite what OutKast says in “Hey Ya!” the people at Polaroid are advising film users not to “shake it like a Polaroid picture.”
The company says that shaking photos, which once helped them dry, is not necessary with the modern version of Polaroid film–it actually can damage the image. For the best results, Polaroid says, its film should be laid on a flat surface and should not be bent or twisted.
But of course, “lay it on a flat surface” doesn’t sound nearly as cool.
