“Apprentice” is spoofed: The “Today” show will introduce eight NBC interns Friday who will compete in a weeklong series called “The Intern.”
Developed to emulate the network’s successful prime-time show “The Apprentice,” the segment will divide the interns into two teams, with a participant being “fired” each day until there are four remaining.
The four winners will work with “Today” co-hosts Katie Couric and Matt Lauer, news anchor Ann Curry and weather and feature reporter Al Roker.
