Erwin Joseph Gadzinski, age 66, of North Barrington, at rest Feb. 20, 2004, beloved husband of Mary Stubbs Gadzinski; devoted father of Margaret K. (Joseph III) Lencewicz, Andrew L. Gadzinski and Victoria P. O’Neil; cherished grandfather of Alison B. Lencewicz and Joseph F. Lencewicz IV; loving son of the late Joseph III and Lucille, nee Nowak; fond brother of Mary Ann (Thomas) Rinella and his former wife Kate O’Neil of Boston, MA. Funeral Tuesday, 11 a.m., at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 337 Ridge Rd., Barrington Hills. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Cancer Society, 100 W. Palatine Rd., Palatine, IL 60067. Erwin Gadzinski’s forty-three year career as a pharmacist began in 1961, after graduating from the University of Illlinois School of Pharmacy. In 1963, after working at Golden Rexall Pharmacy in Oak Park, he purchased his family’s drugstore, Nowak Drugs, in operation since the early 1920’s. For the next 25 years, Erwin Rexall Pharmacy continued to serve the Cicero community. In 1989, Erwin sold his business and completed his career as a pharmacist with the Dominick’s Pharmacy in Crystal Lake. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 337 Ridge Road, Barrington Hills. Fr. George Hull and Fr. Jan Kaplan will officiate.
