Meredith sent a sure thing back to Texas and took a chance on a worldly guy in last night’s finale of “The Bachelorette.”
Despite recognizing that fan-favorite Matthew would provide her constant love and security, she chose Ian, the free spirit who admitted on the limo ride to meet her that he wasn’t sure he was ready to propose. But when she laid her love on the line, Ian managed to get down on his knee. The man known to say very little expressed the romantic words every girl’s just dying to hear: “You’re my girl,” followed by “Will you?” She said yes.
Meredith’s surprise rejection of Matt was barely out of her mouth before the abc.com message board lit up.
“OMG! It’s Ian! She is a jerk! It won’t last!”
“Ian’s a dork and boring. Meredith deserves him!”
“Meredith is no longer cool.”
“Their children will be 3-headed freaks.”
