– Prices for the 2005 Nissan Altima, on sale now, range from $17,200 for the base 2.5 with manual transmission to $26,900 for the new 3.5 SL. The prices do not include the $560 destination charge. Prices are $200 to $500 higher on returning models. The 2005 models have a redesigned interior and minor exterior changes.

– Toyota has announced prices on the 2004 Camry Solara convertible and MR2 Spyder. The Solara convertible, redesigned for 2004, runs from $25,950 for the SE to $29,450 for the SLE. The MR2 Spyder is a carryover model priced at $24,895 with manual transmission and $25,895 with automatic. Toyota also has added Celica models with the Action Package, appearance group. Prices range from $19,355 for a GT with manual transmission to $24,630 for a GT-S with automatic. Prices do not include the $515 destination charge.

– After a 12-year absence at Mercury, the hood ornament is back on the 2004 Grand Marquis two-tone edition. Mercury first offered a hood ornament as standard in 1938. From 1984 to 1991, the Grand Marquis was the only model in the automaker’s line to offer one as standard.
