Robert L. Bauer, age 76. Longtime Chicago Heights resident, passed away Tuesday, March 2. He had retired from the family owned Arnie Bauer Cadillac-GMC after over 50 years of service. Husband for 50 years of Joan, nee Griese; father of Jon “Chip” (Katie), Brian “Rusty” (Vickie), Terry (Julee) and Rob (Laurie) Bauer; grandfather of six; son of the late Wanda, nee Manson and Arnie and Emmy Bauer; brother of Norma (James) Nelson, David (Audrey) and Dennis (Dottie) Bauer; fond cousin, uncle, friend and co-worker of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 blks. East of Western Avenue), Chicago Heights, on Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m. Body will lie in state on Friday from 12 noon to time of services 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 10th Street and Ashland Avenue, Chicago Heights.
