This is regarding “Oberweis ads rile immigrant groups; TV spots called racist, misleading” (Metro, Feb. 25). I don’t understand what the problem is. Do these groups think illegal lawbreakers have a right to be in our country? Even if the numbers of lawbreakers isn’t correct, does that make it OK to flaunt the laws? Also what is racist about not wanting illegals to sneak into the country and use our tax dollars and take our jobs? The word here is “illegal.” I’m sure the response would be, “They are just trying to make a better life.” So do people who have been legally following the proper procedures. Welcome to America legal citizens.
My vote for U.S. senator from Illinois will be for Jim Oberweis.
