How do you make a Hollywood bad boy play by Tinseltown’s rules? Give him an Oscar.
Sean Penn, notorious for dissing awards shows and other trappings of the show biz elite, is now jumping on the movie business’ bandwagon.
This year, he says he’ll probably–and finally–fill out that application to become a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. You know, that group that gave him the Oscar Sunday night.
Penn told zap2it.com that he’s previously “forgotten” to fill out the simple form that allows him to become a voting member of the Academy.
“Friends of mine, Kevin Spacey, Jack [Nicholson] and people like that, have pushed for me and wanted me to be a member, but the application just gets lost in a stack of papers,” Penn said.
Seems he’ll be cleaning out his junk-mail drawer soon.
