Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I was a faithful blue-bag recycler for many years until I learned about many blue bags being split open during the sorting process and the contents becoming contaminated by all the other refuse. I still sort all of my garbage but now use white, 13-gallon tie bags.

During his time in office, Mayor Richard M. Daley has done much to beautify our city. It is my hope that a way can be found to more efficiently recycle the tons of garbage produced each day.

In the meantime, the money I save on blue bags is being sent to organizations I feel are truly committed to a cleaner Earth.
