Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
When Tonya Harding takes the ice to play for the minor-league Indianapolis Ice hockey team Friday, she’d better hope her skates fit.
In a 2002 promotional stunt, the Ice signed 7-foot-7 former NBA player Manute Bol for one game, and his feet swelled inside his custom-made skates.
The 33-year-old former Olympic figure skater suits up more than 10 years after her then-husband attacked rival Nancy Kerrigan. Harding denied involvement, but she plead guilty to conspiracy to hinder prosecution.
Now she’s known more for pursuing female boxing–both celebrity and pro bouts.
Consider that a warning to the Colorado Eagles, the Ice’s opponent Friday night.
