William G. Harnden, 81, of Chicago, formerly of Park Ridge. Passed away Friday, March 12 at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. Loving father of Bill (Sue) Harnden; proud grandfather of Tyler, Dustin and Hayley Harnden; former husband of Delores Harnden; Bill was preceded in death by his mother Martha Russell; special people in his life include Jim (Sheree) Geary and children, Dan (Sue) Komarchuk and children, Debbie Smith and children and Ken (Mamie) Piepgrass. Bill was founder and president of The Cook Fishermens Club for 38 years. A founding member of Salmon Unlimited and former president of American Great Lakes Outdoor writers. Bill was currently writing his “Catch This” fishing column for Lerner Newspapers. Over 20 years service to Seeburg Corp. as chief inspector and quality control manager. Retired from Four Star Corp.
