Katherine Kessler, nee Stuckmann, 93, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2004 at Winchester House, Libertyville, IL, where she had been a resident for 18 years. She was born in Werne, Germany in 1910, and immigrated with her family to the United States in 1923. Katherine was a long time resident of Lake Forest, IL, and a faithful parishioner of the Church of St. Mary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kaspar; her son, Ronald (Barbara); her parents, Herman and Katerina Stuckmann; two sisters, Marie Brucato and Gertrude Saure; two brothers, Herman and Walter Stuckmann. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Ellen) of Antioch, IL, James (Alice) of Gurnee, IL, and a daughter, Carol Ann (Ken) Hebble of Westmont, NJ; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Barbara. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 22, 2004 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 175 E. Illinois St., Lake Forest.
