Emily Ellis passed away very peacefully on Monday, March 22 at St. Joseph’s Home in Palatine, IL. Emily Therese Ellis, nee Wanic, beloved wife of the late Charles John Ellis; dearest mother of Sister Marie Aimee of Jesus, OCT “Cynthia” and William Edward; devoted mother-in-law of Susan Olson Ellis; loving grandmother of Ryan, Amanda and James Ellis; beloved sister of the late Charles (Victoria) Wanic, the late Joseph Wanic (Estelle), Stanley Wanic (Teresa), Louis Wanic (Mary), John Wanic (Tessie), Marie Wanic Jaskiewicz (Mitchell), Carol Wanic Lewis (Conrad), Gloria Wanic Hanf (William), Veronica Wanic Dickey (Ellis) and Harriet Wanic; loving aunt of many nephews and nieces, especially Dorothy (Raymond) Zerawski, Marilyn Coxon (Peter), Pamela Sirtak and Peter Dickey; loving friend of many. Visitation Wednesday 3 to 8 p.m. at Saint Joseph’s Home, 80 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Prayers 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Home. Funeral Mass at Carmelite Monastery, 1101 N.
