Officials of the Chicago Cubs and Skybox on Waveland, a rooftop business across from Wrigley Field, will meet next week in an attempt to avert a showdown, according to Ald. Thomas Tunney (44th).

Tunney expressed hope that an agreement can be reached to prevent the team from trying to obstruct the business’ view of the field. Early this year, the team reached a settlement with all rooftop owners except Skybox on Waveland. The Cubs are owned by Tribune Co., which also owns the Chicago Tribune.
