Fred Fine. Memorial service April 2, 2 p.m., Columbia College Chicago Dance Center, 1306 S. Michigan. Fine, who died at age 89 on Feb. 10, was a founder of Columbia’s Arts, Entertainment and Media Management Department, Chicago’s first Commissioner of Cultural Affairs under Mayor Harold Washington, co-founder of Triangle Productions and a life-long political activist and organizer for social justice, labor and humanitarian issues. Fine is survived by son, Lawrence Fine and daughter-in-law, Jamie Fine. 312-344-8182.
