Volkswagen has added diesel versions of the Passat sedan and wagon priced $205 higher than comparable gasoline models. The Passat GL TDI sedan starts at $23,060 and the wagon at $24,060. GLS TDI models start at $24,660 and $25,660, respectively. The prices do not include the $575 destination charge. TDI models (turbocharged direct injection) come with a new diesel 2-liter 4-cylinder engine with 134 horsepower and a 5-speed automatic transmission.
