No one condones the U.S. soldiers humiliating prisoners in their care.
I do, however, find it ironic that for at least the last 20 years, while tens of thousands of Iraqis were being tortured and brutally murdered, no one came forward to complain.
Not a word from their fellow countrymen, not any European countries, no one.
Now a handful of our soldiers used poor judgment in a time of war and, all of a sudden, we hear from the whole world.
Where was the sympathy and outrage for the U.S. when Iraqis killed the four Americans, then dragged them through the streets before hanging them from a bridge?
It must be nice to finally have the freedom to speak up and act outraged without fear of retribution, thanks to our servicemen and women sacrificing their lives for their freedom.
