I have to agree with letter writer Tim Booth about the emptiness at U.S. Cellular Field (“Sox reminder,” May 3). I’m a North Sider married to a Sox fan.
Though I’m primarily a Cubs fan, I just love to see pro baseball.
The Cell may not be a hundred years old.
The Sox may not have compiled quite the record for futility.
The Sox ownership/management may have done a bit more to alienate their fan base.
But come on people.
What we have on the South Side is a good ball club playing in a soft division, a chance at the post season, a newer stadium with first-class amenities and tickets being sold at half price many times during the season.
How cool is that?
Major League Baseball for, like, eight bucks a head.
It’s one of the great things about this city:
In the summer, you can catch live MLB almost every day.
