Ask people what makes a rendezvous great, and they’ll probably tell you it’s … the planning. Prepare the what, where and when, and you’re on the road to a fun and memorable evening.
The staff of LIVE knows this, and is here to help you get a jump on filling out this week’s social calendar. To this end, LIVE has started a new feature called Cheap Date.
Each week, Cheap Date will provide you with the lowdown on a reasonably priced entertainment pick, so you’ll always have a ready-made, fun and inexpensive option at your fingertips.
You figure out the “who,” and we’ll do the rest.
What: Pound & Pitcher night
Where: Captain Larry’s, 601 E. Fort Ave.
When: Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Why: This little Federal Hill watering hole is a favorite among new Baltimore hipsters and blue-collar locals alike. If you’re in the mood for a laid-back evening, then park it at the bar and enjoy a pound of steamed shrimp and a pitcher of draft beer with your honey. Oh, and it’ll only cost you 10 bucks.
