We were exhausted just compiling this list, so we advise our bargain-hunting readers to put on their most comfortable shoes before hitting the streets for savings all around the area. We found sidewalk sales and specials on everything from massages to kitchen cabinets–there’s probably even a kitchen sink on sale out there somewhere. Happy hunting!

EVERGREEN PARK

The Plaza, 9500 S. Western Ave., Evergreen Park, 708-422-5454. On Aug. 5-8 during regular mall hours, The Plaza will have an indoor sidewalk sale featuring discounts of up to 70 percent off as well as special promotions at many of its 120 stores, including African Arts and Objects, 708-346-0292, which will have wood art and masks at 20 percent off.

LAKE VIEW EAST

The Lake View East Chamber of Commerce will have several sidewalk sales along Broadway, from Diversey Avenue to Grace Street, from 10 a.m. until dusk Friday, Saturday and Sunday; Aug. 20-22; and Sept.10-12. Different stores will participate on different dates. Among the stores this week: Spare Parts, 2947 N. Broadway, 773-525-4242, selling handbags and accessories (Saturdays and Sundays only) and Styl Shoes, 2949 N. Broadway, 773-244-9369, selling men’s and women’s footwear.

EVANSTON

EvMark, the organization that markets and manages the downtown Evanston area, will sponsor a sidewalk sale from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 30-31 and Aug. 1 covering approximately 24 blocks in downtown Evanston. Individual store hours may vary. Participants include: All About Care Massage Therapy,1609 Sherman Ave., 847-864-9401, offering a one-hour session for first time clients, regularly $65, now $45; Hallmark Party Center, 1015 Davis St., 847-864-7344, offering up to 80 percent off on most merchandise; Something Wicked Mystery Book Shop, 816 Church St., 847-328-1300, offering 50 percent off all merchandise; Wild Child (children’s apparel and toys), 612 Davis St., 847-475-6225, featuring 20 to 50 percent off summer clothing, fall and winter backstock and toys; Active Endeavors, 1527 Chicago Ave., 847-869-7070, featuring 40 to 50 percent off outerwear, sportswear and denim; Kaehler Travel Works, 1724 Sherman Ave., 847-328-0744, featuring up to 75 percent off small leather goods and travel and business items; Urban Outfitters, 921 Church St., 847-492-8542, offering discounts on clothing, accessories and housewares; Accents Plus, 601 Davis St., 847-864-0420, featuring discounts on all summer clothing and accessories; Mostly Handmade, 1622 Orrington St., 847-864-0845, offering 75 to 90 percent off holiday items, jewelry, stuffed animals and infant clothing; Uncle Dan’s, 700 Church St., 847-475-7100, featuring reductions on camping equipment and hard goods such as sleeping pads.

Also in Evanston, the Central Street Sidewalk Sale will be held Thursday through Sunday on Central Street between Hartrey Avenue and Green Bay Road. Among participating businesses: Karlson Kitchens, 1815 Central St., will have cabinet remnants featuring custom kitchen cabinets, including European imports, at 75 percent off original prices (all sales final). Healing Touch Massage Therapy Inc., 1909 Central St., 847-332-1510, (www.healingtouchmassagetherapyinc.com) will offer new clients and senior citizens $10 off a one-hour massage, regularly priced at $75.

HIGHLAND PARK

The Highland Park Chamber of Commerce, 847-432-0284, will have its annual sidewalk sale along Central Avenue, east of Green Bay Road along First and Second Streets, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., July 22-24. Some merchants also may be open on July 25. More than 80 Highland Park businesses will participate, including Bett’s, 847-432-0338, featuring Womyn pants that were $144 for $72, Churchgirl dresses that were $93 for $28; Forest Bootery, 847-433-1911, offering up to 80 percent off on merchan-dise including Donald Pliner shoes and Cole Haan sandals that were $150 to $160 for $69 and Nike and Adidas shoes for men that were up to $120 for $25 to $45; Pieces Gallery, 847-432-2121, featuring home accessories, chairs, tables and jewelry that were $25 to $1,000 for $5 to $450; Dalaj Menswear, 847-681-1100, offering select items for up to 70 percent off, including fash-ions from Tommy Bahama and Ike Behar.

NORTHFIELD

The Northfield Chamber of Commerce, 847-441-1848, will hold its sidewalk sale in down-town Northfield, south of Willow and Happ Roads, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday through Saturday. Merchants include Fresh Ideas Clothing Co., 300 Happ Rd., 847-446-3774, and Lori’s Designer Shoes, 311 Happ Rd., 847-446-3818.

WINNETKA

The Winnetka Chamber of Commerce, 847-446-4451, will hold its sidewalk sale 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday in Hubbard Woods on Green Bay Road and on Elm Street. Isis, 823 W. Armitage Ave, 773-665-7290, will have its sidewalk sale 10 .a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday with markdowns of up to 80 percent off summer merchandise. And Isis on the Shore, 601 Elm Pl., Highland Park, 847-432-7433, will have its sidewalk sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 24 and noon to 5 p.m. July 25 with savings of up to 80 percent.

Panache Boutique, 2252 N. Clark St., 773-477-4537. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Panache will have its summer side-walk sale featuring selected spring and sum-mer suits, sweaters, dresses, T-shirts, pants, jeans and accessories at 50 to 70 percent off.

Hubba Hubba, 3309 N. Clark St., 773-477-1414. Through July 31, dresses and T-shirts are on sale as follows: 10 percent off the most expensive, 20 percent off the next, 30 percent off the third and so on, up to 50 percent.

Cotelac, 1159 W. Webster Ave., 773-281-2330. This shop carries women’s clothing by French designer Raphaelle Cavalli and Wednesday through Aug. 15, skirts, pants and dresses that were $228 to $338 are now $145 to $235.
