Do you have the face of a guitar god? If so, promoters of the Best Guitar Face contest are looking for you–and no musical experience is required.
“You can hold up a tennis racket, pretend it’s a guitar and still enter,” said Jesse Raiford, director of programming for Mag Rack, the on-demand TV service sponsoring the contest. Rock photographer and “guitar face” judge Mark Weiss is looking for a Ted Nugent equivalent. “Look at his mouth, and you can tell he’s playing the guitar.”
So close your eyes, scrunch your eyebrows, and put on a rebellious grimace– then send your photo. You can enter at www.magrack.com through the end of October. The winner gets a Les Paul “Black Beauty” electric guitar with case.
