Ex-Red Sox first baseman Mo Vaughn is suing former teammate Nomar Garciaparra, The Boston Globe reports, claiming that one of Vaughn’s former employees used a mailing list to divert kids from Vaughn’s baseball clinic to a batting clinic hosted by Garciaparra. The suit claims that the revenue from Vaughn’s clinic dropped from $148,000 to $32,000.
Grand slammed
San Diego Padres minor-leaguer Tagg Bozied ruptured his left knee tendon after celebrating his game-winning grand slam Monday. He jumped on home plate to end Portland’s 8-5 win and immediately went down.
