James P. Patterson, age 78, passed away peacefully at his Naperville home. Jim was the beloved husband of Margaret Duffy Patterson, nee McCormick, and the late Patricia, nee Maloney; dear father of Mary Kay (Armand) Andreoni, James J. (Christine), Matthew (Julie), Margaret (Michael) Giovacchini, Jeanne (Jack) Marino, Patricia Patterson de Pablo (Liber) and Janet (Michael) Boland; brother of Rosemary (Robert) Blakemore, Robert and Miles (Diane); fond grandfather of 13; uncle, stepfather and stepgrandfather of many. Jim was a 1948 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, worked at Argonne National Laboratories and retired from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Funeral Friday 9:30 a.m. from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, Rte. 53 and Short St., Lisle, to St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Mass 10:30 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
