June Lewin, 85, nee Esserman, beloved wife of the late William S. Lewin; devoted mother of Richard (Betsy) and Deidre Lewin; cherished grandmother of Lindsay and Michael; loving sister of Robert (Rhoda) Esserman, Ronald (Charlene) Esserman and Rochelle (Mort) Benjamin; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was adored and loved by many friends and to all those whose lives she touched. June was an English teacher and special education counselor with the Chicago public school system for 25 years. She loved art, nature, literature and poetry. In 2001 she co-edited and co-published a book of poetry, quotations and letters with her sister Rochelle.
