– Aston Martin says it will make a few DBR9 racing coupes available to select customers. The car, which is planned to take the carmaker back to racing in 2005, is based on the DB9 coupe. Aston is releasing no technical information, but production DB9s start at $155,000 and have 450-horsepower V-12 engines.

– The 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt will start at $13,625 for base sedan and coupe models. Starting prices for other models are $15,920 for the LS sedan and coupe, $18,195 for the LT sedan and $21,430 for the SS Supercharged coupe. The prices do not include the $565 destination charge. The sedan is due at dealerships in November, and the coupe in December.
