An eight-story parking garage built 80 years ago in Los Angeles on downtown’s Grand Avenue was granted historic landmark status by the state on Friday, clearing the way for it to be one of America’s first parking structures to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building has been converted into lofts that rent for between $1,550 and $3,500 per month.
