Kim James Allen, age 60, of Libertyville. Beloved husband of Chun-Cha, nee Choe; loving brother of Frank (Janis), Bruce (Darlene), Tamzen (Tom) Talman and Sandra (Rollin) Dixon; fond uncle of Brian Allen, Jonathon (Kristin) Allen, Lynn (James) Jachec, Christopher Allen, Gregory Allen, Titou (David) Yarloff, Miranda and Kay Talman. Preceded in death by his mother Dorothea Kenne Allen and father Jack Garner Allen. He was a partner and Vice President of F.H. Noble & Co. from 1984 to 2002. He was employed as a security consultant by Northrup Corporation Defense Systems Division from 1977 to 1984. From 1971 to 1977 he was employed as a Fire Service Inspector/Instructor by the University of Illinois at Urbana. He served in Korea as a Staff Sergeant in a Military Intelligence Battalion from 1968 thru 1970 and was awarded five medals for outstanding achievements. He was a graduate of Lake Forest College and attended Northwestern Military and Naval Academy in Lake Geneva where he was a Cadet Officer and Captain of the Rifle Team. He attended elementary school in Libertyville, IL. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 8741 and served as Post Chaplain and member of the Post Color Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to V.F.W. Post 8741, Libertyville, IL 60048. Visitation Monday, August 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a funeral service at 7 p.m. at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E.
