Reality TV may just twist itself into oblivion. In the never-ending quest to make every show more surprising than the last, even ABC’s “The Bachelor” has fallen prey to a changing formula.
In the next installment–premiering Sept. 22–there will be two men instead of one: 40-year-old professional bass fisherman (no joke) Byron Velvick and 40-year-old real estate agent Jay Overbye (also, no joke).
In the first episode, the 25 women will present the first rose to the man they prefer; the winning man will then immediately eliminate 10 women, zap2it.com reports.
In another twist, two women who were rejected by previous Bachelors will return in the hopes of finding love. And the Bachelor will move into the Ladies’ Villa, providing many opportunities for contact.
