Now, if Jeremy Wariner had been the first American to win the Olympic 400 meters since 1964, I could see it (Tribune, Aug. 25). But a lead saying he’s the first white American since 1964?
What, the winners since were Americans, but after all they were just black Americans? They’re all Americans, and that’s it.
Perhaps next you’ll be listing the medal count by white USA, black USA, Asian USA? I just don’t get it.
