He’s won six gold medals–what’s next for swimming star Michael Phelps?
He’s going to Disney World.
Disney officials announced Sunday that Phelps and fellow U.S. Olympic gold medal swimmers Lenny Krayzelburg and Ian Crocker are launching a “Swim With the Stars” tour, which kicks off Tuesday at Disney World. The 12-city tour includes a stop in Chicago (date TBA).
“Since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of winning the gold medal and shouting, ‘I’m going to Disney World!’ ” Phelps said.
Can’t make the show? Look no further than your morning Wheaties. General Mills said Monday it will put Phelps, gymnastics champ Carly Patterson and 100-meter gold medalist Justin Gatlin on the front of its iconic “cereal of champions” boxes.
