Carl DeFranco, 81, of Elgin, beloved son of the late Epifanio and Concetta DeFranco; loving husband to Beverly DeFranco; dear father to Jay (Kathleen) DeFranco; grandfather to Nicole (Michael) Rich and Christopher DeFranco; great-grandfather to Madison, Nicholas and Hunter Rea; brother to Michael (Jean) DeFranco and Louis (Theresa) DeFranco; and many nieces and nephews. Carl was an Engineer for Milwaukee Railroad for many years prior to retirement. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 397 Fulton St., Elgin, IL 60120. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St. (Rt. 31), Elgin, IL 60123, 847-741-8800 and on Saturday in the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of Services. Entombment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Elgin.
