– The 18th annual British Car Union Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 12 at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills. More than 700 vintage British cars and motorcycles will be on display. The festival also will include technical sessions and vendors. Show-car registration costs $15. – Mid America Motorworks holds its 11th annual Corvette Funfest Sept. 17, 18 and 19 at its headquarters on U.S. Highway 45, 2 miles north of Interstates 57 and 70, in Effingham, Ill. In celebration of the Corvette’s 50th anniversary, more than 8,000 of the sports cars are expected for show. The three-day event also will include technical seminars, concerts and vendors.
