Barbara Sherman, nee Irie, 56, of Park Ridge, passed away Sept. 13, 2004, beloved wife of Alan for 29 years; loving daughter of William and the late Anna; dear sister of Sandy (Frank) Knapp, Richard and Peter (Norma); cherished aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews and friend and mentor to many. Life-long educator at Lane Tech High School. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 3 p.m. until time of service at 4:30 p.m. at the Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral and Cremation Center, 6467-73 N.
