All players in all sports should read Tribune pro football reporter Don Pierson’s article about Brett Favre (“Playing the game his only addiction; Packers QB wants another Super Bowl ring, not career marks,” Sports, Sept. 15). If more of them practiced Favre’s kind of sportsmanship, I wouldn’t have given up on pro baseball, basketball and hockey. Favre’s a truly rare gem and a good man, and he will play his best until his last game.
