Naperville police were searching for two men who assaulted two employees of a fast-food restaurant near closing time Thursday and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
Sgt. Bob Guerrieri said no one was in custody and there were no suspects as of Friday in connection with the late-night robbery of Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, 5108 Clarence Ave.
The two employees–a man and a woman–were hit with a blunt object that police did not identify other than to say it was not a gun. The robbers fled in a gold vehicle just before 10 p.m. Thursday, Guerrieri said.
