– The Griffith Historical Society will hold its 21st annual Railroad Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Depot and Historical Park, 201 S. Broad St., Griffith, Ind. Pony rides, children’s games, railroad merchandise, hobo stew and Centennial edition of “Children’s History of Griffith” will be featured at the free event. Call 219-924-9701.

– The Midwest Antique and Classic Motorcycle Club will host its 32nd annual Antique Motorcycle Show and Swap Meet from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 in the McHenry Country Fairgrounds on Illinois Highway 47 in Woodstock. – General Motors is sponsoring an Auto Show in Motion from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 30 through Oct. 3 at Arlington International Racecourse, Arlington Heights. – The Score Rallye Team is hosting a gimmick car rallye Oct. 2. Registration begins at 6 p.m. at the Firestone Auto Center at Woodfield Mall north entrance, off Golf Road. The rallye begins at 7:15 p.m. Registration costs $15. This is a CRC (Chicago Rallye Central) sanctioned event. – The Illinois Railway Museum in Union is holding its Harvest Festival weekend Oct. 9 and 10. A diesel-powered passenger train will be available for rides on the museum’s mainline, and all families will be given a free pumpkin. The museum, at 7000 Olsen Rd., Union, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. Admisson costs $9 for adults, and $7 for seniors and children 5 through 11. – The 20th Century Railroad Club is holding Train to the Roaring ’20s excursions Oct. 16 and 17. The chartered Chicago, South Shore & South Bend electric train will leave Metra’s Randolph Street station at 2:15 p.m. Oct. 16 and 11:10 a.m. Oct. 17 for dancing and dining at the Blue Lantern Ballroom in Hudson Lake, Ind.
