The Bloomingdale Park District Board has selected Buzz Puccio, a former board member, to fill a board vacancy.
Steve Scholten, executive director, said there were two candidates for the post. Puccio, a longtime resident, was selected because of his experience in local government, he said.
“He’s lived in Bloomingdale for 30 years. He has a lot of experience,” Scholten said. “He’s been on the Village Board and was chairman of the Septemberfest Commission.”
Puccio also is a former member of the Park District Board. He served from 1993 to 2001.
Puccio, who will be sworn in Monday, will replace Mike Iacomini, who resigned last month because of a job transfer.
