This is in reference to the letter “Election was a victory for unqualified judges” (Voice of the people, Nov. 7), from Roy E. Hofer, past president, Chicago Bar Association, bemoaning the fact that the public failed to vote against the retention of Judges Dorothy F. Jones, Susan J. McDunn and William D. O’Neal. I just wanted to let Hofer know that my husband and I did, indeed, cast our votes against these three judges because I saved the Tribune Editorial page and brought it into the voting booth with me.

To no avail, apparently.

But we did try.
