The Wolves, propelled by four second-period goals in a span of 1 minute 48 seconds, defeated the Grand Rapids Griffins 6-2 Thursday night.
The Wolves (5-5-1-1), who snapped a four-game losing streak, have won twice on the road this season, both times in Grand Rapids.
The Griffins (8-4-1-0) wrapped up a franchise-high nine-game homestand at 4-4-0-1.
Cory Larose scored twice for the Wolves. Brian Maloney, Tommi Santala, J.P. Vigier and Travis Roche also had goals for the visitors.
Morton Grove native Blake Sloan knotted the game for Grand Rapids 1-1 before the Wolves’ onslaught.
Wolves goaltender Kari Lehtonen (5-6-1) notched 30 saves in his franchise-record 12th consecutive start this season.
The Wolves head to Cincinnati to finish a five-game trip against the Mighty Ducks on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
