Eleanor “Ellie” Swanson, nee McKnight, 77 of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, beloved wife for 54 years to John C. “Jack” Swanson (retired Superintendent of Oak Park/River Forest High School District); loving mother of Robert (Laurie) of Oak Park, Kathryn (Steve) Soneson of Winfield and Daniel (Angelica) of Mexico; proud grandmother of six; sister of Stanley McKnight of Seattle, and the late William McKnight, and the late Dorothy Kraft.
